Wensum Valley Hotel Golf & Country Club is home to no less than 3 Norfolk golf courses, the Championship Wensum course, the shorter Valley and an excellent 9 hole course in Mattishall. These Norfolk golf courses provide a challenge to both the novice and the more experienced golfer, making Wensum Valley the ideal location for a golf society day in Norfolk, a golfing weekend away or just a round of golf on the course with friends or colleagues. Wensum Valley Golf & Country Club’s 3 Norfolk golf courses are playable all year round with no temporary greens, thanks to free draining soil and our location in the driest county in the UK.
The Wensum course is the Championship course at Wensum Valley Hotel, Golf & Country Club, host to the 2013 Motocaddy Masters season opener of the PGA Europro Tour. The par 72 course measures 6900 yards and is a true test of golf requiring both distance and accuracy. Many of the holes have water hazards, including the 16th, which runs parallel to the River Wensum, a real feature hole for the course.
